HE is one of my favorite character!!!
i drew this with just pencil.

i think you already know that there are many kinds of Pencils.
Basically you can divided as B and HB.
B pencils are softer,thicker lead typically used for drawing and sketching.
HB pencils is right in the middle(multipurpose) but is not really IDEAL for either technical drawing or sketching.
The B leads starts with 2B gets progressively more soft. 4B and 6B (very soft!) .
When i say SOFT what i mean is less dens.. the centres are generally much rounder and bigger and the writing has a smoother feel that leaves much more dust MESS(and thus a better transfer).

In this drewing i used first the HB pencil for sketch because is less dark. Then i used 4B pencil to give details .
